Fell on Black Days

A note from the artist

Whatsoever I’ve feared ha
Come to life
Whatsoever I’ve fought off
Became my life
Just when everyday
Seemed to greet
Me with a smile
Sunspots of have faded
Cause I fell on Black Days
-Chris Cornell

To treasure and to destroy. I held with love something that turned to... not love. Corrupted love. I cradled it so delicately that when it became heavy it fell and shattered. This relationship and it’s fate inspired the creation of this divided piece.

In this next chapter of the Aria Collection the black and white represent the seemingly unconquerable hurdle of personality disorder. My relationship revolved around borderline personality disorder where experiences and decisions are cataloged in black and white. The ever present gray-area that life strides through constantly did not exist in her reality. A broken vase could never be mended nor forgotten. Major or slight, each vase weighed the same. With no method for removing the collateral damage of the friction between two people the weight of my mistakes in the relationship became too great and it shattered.

Below are examples of a 36" piece framed. My personal recommendation is the 2 3/4" Dresden with no liner. It is an elegant and feminine presentation of the work.

Of course, you can order the piece alone and frame it to your own tastes. I only offer these as suggestions to help you visualize the work.
